File Formats

All art files (other than photographs) must be sent in .ai (adobe illustrator) or .eps (encapsulated postscript) format.

•Converted to curves Files can also be sent as the following program files: Corel Draw 12 or earlier version

•Adobe Illustrator CS or earlier version Photographs (Photo scanned images) must be sent at the proper resolutions for printing:

•Output resolution is measured in pixels per inch:

•200 ppi – graphics under a 2ft square final size

•100 ppi – graphics between 2ft & 5ft square final size

•50 ppi – graphics over a 5ft square final size

•25 ppi – billboards and larger •Scan resolution is measured in dots per inch

•How to figure you dpi for printing

•You have 5x7 picture that you want to turn into a 50x70 digital print at 50 ppi

•Taking you longest final dimension (70) x the output resolution (50) = 3500 pixels needed

•Then taking the pixels req. (3500) / the longest initial dimension (7) = 500 dpi scan resolution

•500 dpi would be the required dpi (scan resolution) for this image
